Lots of good info in this book but the premise is quite shaky. Loved first half and now am not so sure. It is losing me a little. Not quite science fiction edging into fantasy

I'm closing in on another DNF. Quite a drop from a 4 or 5 star to a 1 or 2. What happened?? Was this a rush to publish? I loved The Immortalists but this book is a reach too far for this author.

I'm starting to get upset with the author and her liberties. She has small great snipits of science but her premise of this world is lost on execution. It goes from science fiction to a kind of science fairly tale. Great but I wanted the world building to at least obey its own rules.

Started out great. I am hooked by the intelligent use of references and reveal. Not exactly what I expected but I am loving it. 4 or 5 stars in the first 20%
