So invested. A little repetitive because there are only so many ways to say Christianity teaches you not to trust yourself (as someone who developed OCD because of a Christian upbringing, I can confirm) and you can tell it was written by a life coach

Yeah, it’s next to impossible to make anything on feelings not sound to self help and patronizing because it’s so simple in telling (not in practice). This book didn’t succeed in that either. There is still a lot of repetitiveness, everything comes back to disconnecting you from your sense of self and intuition (which it does but it feels like that is repeated in every paragraph)

Still finding it repetitive because a lot of the different sections in a chapter are the chapter’s topic over and over but with a slightly different wording. Still a lot of good things said and really thinking critically about what I internalized in church as a kid I can see why I am the way that I am. Constantly anxious if I’m not doing something to help others, afraid I’m secretly evil etc
