the concept of vampires that feed off of emotions (energy vampires, energy leeches) is interesting but i still am finding this quite boring. i assume the author thinks this is a lot more tongue-in-cheek, slutty, metaphorical, unhinged than it's coming off as (at least to me as a reader)
