So much has happened, but I have no idea how our protagonist feels about any of it. Her feelings, anxieties, and desires are apparently irrelevant. We are over-explaining every room and found bone while completely ignoring our main character's internal world. It's making an otherwise interesting concept disappointingly boring!

Oh I HATED this book. It's truly about nothing and no one (other than the writers seemingly putting in every single overwrought sentence and metaphor they cut from anything else they've ever written). I've met one other person ever who will cop to even sort of disliking it though lol. Everybody loves it.
