darealtrinavega finished the first story "The Quarry Wood" yesterday. It's just so good and her writing is an absolute breath of fresh air. It's very much a "Little Women" sort of story where its just every day stuff but made very interesting. You can just tell the author writes poetry as well. Also, amazing opening line.

"Emmeline hankered still after the respect men pay to beauty, though what she dreamed she wanted was the respect they pay to the respectable."

"Knowledge grew sweeter the more one ate of it."

"'It's only because I love her so much that I want her to be like other people.'
'I should have thought that was a reason for wanting to keep her as she is'."

"So new the world was!"

"And her eyes shone with delight. She was a girl again."

"Did one ever order one's life as one desired?"
