finished the 2nd story "The Weatherhouse", another great one, even better than the first, Ellen is relatable as hell

I'm usually not one for short stories- though I don't know if this is considered generally short as its around 120 pages- but the way this author manages to write characters and narratives with such depth with so little words is just amazing.
To me this was very much a conflict of generations. One side who won't let go of the past, the other who feels too modern too fast. It deals with Jenny growing as a person and being presentend with different life paths. It deals with her drifiting away from her grandfather and the connection they share, as she gets closer and closer to Bella (the outside forcing its way in to their quiet village). It develops into how she doesn't actually need to pick a side and sever those connections in order to grow and find out more about herself. Amazing from start to finish.
