The deep bits are giving “this is the year of realizing things” vibes. Our young dude is realizing pretty basic life stuff but he’s a wee lad so I shouldn’t be so harsh. I think this is a book for 20-25 year old men.

Ok. I’m so sorry. I can’t stand the Gen Z amateur sleuths. Let’s put everything into a computer program called NANCY (after Nancy Drew) and then Nancy can tell us how to investigate the crime. Cutesy and young, no offence to Gen Z but like my sleuths a little rougher.

Standing at the corner of Glendale and King wondering whether or not to go into the McDonalds is almost too relatable. Loving the hyper local romp around Hamilton. The main character is a little milquetoast but I can tell there’s going to be a “coming of age” arc. Could tell it was angling to be a series by the 20% mark.
