I'm enjoying this as much as I thought I would, which is to say that this author's style and my taste are pretty much a perfect match... buuuuuuuuut, ugh. I kinda hate the "I'll just keep this secret even though I promised to be honest" plot device. It's such an obvious setup for future drama. You know that. I know that. The author knows that. So where's the joy of the unexpected plot twist? Here's hoping I'm wrong.
