Omg! He is the biggest simp! So googly eyed over here! He had her for four months and 10 days before she was taken from him and then he spent 402 years searching for her and remaining celibate because she was all he ever wanted. This series is the best declaration of love I’ve read.

I hate when books jump back and forth from past to present as it slows down the momentum in the present storyline. I love the past insight but think it would have been better done as a 1.5 book, that way we still get the context and emotional depth but also don’t lose the pacing in the current storyline. I also don’t like how she has feelings for the captain in any capacity. Fav deserves full loyalty in return!
