I'm enjoying this but man the author has no concept for blacksmithing! Why on Earth would you be casting swords of iron?! that's not how Smith's of that time worked iron or steel. For historical fiction this aspect is disappointing.

Does the author of this book really not know the difference between a solstice and an equinox? There is no solstice in spring. I like the story but this sort of thing is sloppy
