so this book is a mess, it is all over the place, there are so many plotlines that feel irrelevant to the fact that this is a “city of ember” prequel and/or the plotlines never get resolved. last ten min of the audiobook was basically a montage of “nickie grew up and here are some things that happened and also she was one of the first emberites” like?? huh???
