WHY IS IT THAT I KEEP SEEING BABY NILE MONITORS FOR SALE WHEN I GOOGLE THEM??????? Idiots. This is why they're invading Florida. Please stop trying to raise these vicious predators. They don't stay tiny and cute forever, I promise you. They are very bitey. And very angy.

Looked up Nile Monitors to see if they'd make the cute list, and actually, they're going top of the invasive list, for Florida specifically. Not sure how they got from Egypt to Florida, but they're invading and they're extremely aggressive and LOVE biting. I read that they're harder to remove than crocodiles because of their aggressiveness. Hope everyone in Florida is doing ok. Info from February 2026.
