I heard that too! I didn’t see what the leak was cause it got taken down. But that’s so insane. Rebecca literally made a post about people shouldn’t leak stuff. And literally no one listened 🤨

Yeah Threshing day made me so mad cause Rebecca in particular has been very vocal about this. I saw people claim for acotar that it wasn't just yet meant to be posted but who knows

Yeah the fact it was taken down suggests it was truly a leak or rather a publicity gimmick. But either way, such a shitty thing. I saw Rebecca's post too 🥲🥲

I was about to write "these leaks are definitely fake" and then I went on Instagram and the first thing I saw were these leaks. 😐 I don't mind that these sneak peaks came out, they always will and many authors and publishing houses WANT them to come out to make the book more famous but what REALLY bothers me is that NONE of these influencers put a SPOILER WARNING. As much as I was delighted to the point of disgust by what I learned from the ACOSH sneak peak, I would have been MUCH happier if I had only learned it when I got my hands on the book. They ruined my fun! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG! Also, there are many authors who DO NOT want people to see sneak peaks before reading their books. For example, Rebecca Yarros did not WANT it but it happened anyway. Since Rebecca openly stated that she DOES NOT want sneak peaks to be released, NO ONE has the right to disobey her. But unlike Rebecca Yarros, the cavewoman aka SJM says NOTHING so logically the sneak peak release was pre-planned. But if she comes out and says that she didn't want it either then NO ONE has the right to question her. If SJM does indeed do this I will personally delete everything related to the sneak peak from my ACOSH's pre-release review. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah Rebecca made it very clear she's not the one who approved of this. Threshing Day is definitely a leak. But ACOSH is a possibility that either it was a marketing gimmick or a genuine leak too. Cause the audio for it has since been removed. SJM is not a very active person on social media, I doubt she's going to break her silence for this. But such a bummer that it spread like wildfire. I genuinely wanted this to be a first time experience for both fandoms. But anyway, I'll be off booktok until I read ACOSH :/

This is actually the first time I‘m hearing about this (maybe as I‘ve been less on TikTok, etc.) but wtf??? Especially after Rebecca explicitly asking people not to leak anything in her Insta story as she wanted to make the whole thing a surprise but couldn’t. It‘s not like authors in general already have a hard time with stuff and now this as well 😩

i actually think that this happened on purpose and rebecca knew it... she just did this with the publishers so people will talk about it. also, the fact that the preview of threshing day dropped the same day with the preview of acosh is veeeeeeeeery suspicious! authors have managers about this shts and remember that rebecca posted 4 days before the preview come out not to "leak" anything about the book. suspicious as fck.

I doubt Rebecca wanted this to leak given how vocal she has been about this stuff considering it happened during Onyx Storm as well :(

Girl exactly! Rebecca has been so vocal about this. At least the fourth wing fandom is handling it well and removing the samples. But acotar fandom is a wildfire. I don't think it was meant to be put online today, someone made a mistake probably got fired. 🥴
