Ozul is one of the most lackluster villains I’ve had the pleasure of reading about. He does all his dirty work from afar, drains a bunch of characters I don’t care about and I’m supposed to fear him? No.

Damn. The author knew that the colonizer/indigenous romance would be so shitty that they resulted to a forced marriage. So bad that they had to be forced to be together.

I wanted to like the queen as this selfless figure. Well, out the window with that. The general is not talking down to her but rather stating a very real reality of the fact that if there isn’t sacrifice there won’t be anything for the daughter to fight for. She can’t possibly be that stupid.

Holy inconsideration. The general is like hey, we’re asking your daughter to sacrifice the bond with a talking horse not her life because hey, my daughter died in the war. I felt loss too.
