While I like the story so far, I'm having a hard time getting around the fact that even though Bray Road (as in The Beast of Bray Road, the title character) is in Elkhorn, Wisconsin and Walworth County is even explicitly called out in the book, the setting is described as a remote, deeply forested area with no cell service. No, the area is flat farmland, and not particularly remote in the least, with I-43 nearby.
