There’s this passage that I really wanted to put here, but it’s too big and unfortunately, I can’t. I’ll add it in the comments.

I’m starting to get really sad and anxious reading this. I don’t fear death, but I can’t stop thinking about me or my partner dying, and one of us having to deal with the other person’s death, getting used to being alone and not having them there anymore. It’s terrifying.
Anyway, great book.

I love Mariana Enriquez. This girl was 25 in Italy, banging some random guy who played the violin and who, according to her, looked and felt like a vampire, in a cemetery where the photo for the cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division was taken. 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ She’s so fucking real for that.

“I don't like dogs. I had a traumatic experience as a child. […] I never trusted a dog again. They don't fool me with their adorable eyes, their happy tail-wagging, their joviality, or their friendly roughhousing. I've seen what they're capable of. And they hide it. A cat is a much more sincere animal: it's aloof, aggressive, loud, it can be gross; you know what you're getting into when you mess with a cat. Dogs, on the other hand, are hypocritical animals, pure duplicity. I don't like dogs. Not big ones or small ones, cute or ugly, alive or dead.”
