From the very end of chapter 36 (after the 2nd dive on the Arcadia):

“…something peculiar in the hold…”

Devereaux doesn’t go on the dives.
He has no idea how “peculiar” everything is😆❣️🧟‍♂️

Coates has her characters all wound up, stressed to their limits,and no one (including me) really understands the root of the upcoming panic. There’s gonna be one though. The panic is hanging there in that deep frosty water. Little minor ones in the chapters last night. Bigger ones tonight. Much bigger ones coming. Dead ahead☠️☠️☠️🆒🆒🆒😆

Much more riveting now that we know a little more about our team and the happenings on the sunken ship via the time bounce-backs.

I’ll never go deep water scuba diving.
That’s one absolute that Darcy Coates has given me with this book.

Moves at a snail’s pace, but they are deep water explorers.
It’s significantly creepy storytelling.

Itchy.
This novel gives you that itchy sensation.
Right across and between your shoulders.
Not a pleasant itch either.
Slow burn itch.
