The 3rd story is just as sweet as the name of the chapter. It shows how a controlling mother, a friend who wants you to do what she wants, the environment that tells you how they want you to behave can be break through when you learn to love yourself for who you are and to find your own path instead of one determined by others. Love it!

I love the idea of daily lunch at the convenience store as a way for elderly to socialize and also a check in if one is in need of help.
Nowadays, there are too many cases of elderly are dying alone and not discovered for days. I will want to live in a small town like this when I am old.
