Man, I’m really trying to finish this book. I feel like I can’t quit because I dedicated all this time already. But maybe now isn’t the right time in my life for this book. I will shelve it and try another time.

This has been a slow read for sure. I feel like I’m reading a young woman’s journal and thoughts, with no real plot or climax. Speed reading it now because I’ve committed this far… I must finish it… it does make me giggle sometimes but I feel like I’m wasting time on this book when there’s a pile of others on my desk.

Ok, I’m enjoying this book now. Having to look up cultural references & linguistic terms which is enlightening. Makes me more interested in linguistics.
