Annoyed by the author’s decision to emphasize John Brown’s acts of violence in the Kansas / Missouri Border War and exclude mention of massacres committed by Missouri Bushwackers. In just one instance they murdered many community members in Lawrence, Kansas, including all white Army recruits, and burned the fledgling free state stronghold. All in the name of preserving the institution of chattel slavery.
