And, somehow, it keeps getting worse! Everyone is dead (i don’t care) and the relationships are so flat and forced? Will and Katherine know each other for 3 (!!) days, talked ONCE, and are now so in love that Will’s feelings for her unlocked his powers? Really? Also, why are all his conversations with James and Cyprian so sexually charged? Cyprian btw the stupidest character, I hate everyone so much!

I’m crying. As if the main opponent being called "the Dark King" isn’t already cringe enough, a new peace of lore has been dropped: there are "Shadow Kings" too. And sure, Will just randomly guesses that Marcus knows how to create a Shadow and this is why Simon kidnapped him. Get me out of this circus.
P.S.: Mention Will’s ungodly cheekbones ONE. MORE. TIME. and I swear I’ll light this book on fire

literally the dullest beginning of a book i’ve read in a long time. i’m only continuing because i literally don’t have any other unread book in the house and because i paid money for it (which i deeply regret)
if anyone mentions again how sharp will’s cheekbones are, i’m gonna throw hands
