Really ripped into this tonight, but alas was not able to finish before bedtime. Its possible I finish tomorrow, but I still banking on Sunday. Really doesn't have this one book tight structure like the first one. I'm a little half in half out reading this. Still like more than that Bloodsworn fantasy I was reading. Maybe due to having some care about that characters but...I need to lock in a little more with this1.

Not bad these chapters. Still think this pacing kinda pales compared to the first book. It really feels now like it wants to be a larger series. Idk though, still curious at how this book will end.

Halfway through and this is definitely a different experience compared to Eye of the World. The first book definitely has this "important story" element that makes it feel epic whereas, with this one, it's tone and pacing comes off a whole lot lighter.
At the halfway point, what I initially viewed to be a adventure, much like the first book, is not one of crazy stature and has already moved on to a new emotional--
