Tensions are continuing to rise and I'm getting anxious. It's obvious something is about to happen. With the humans think Lord of the flies with adults and Amber being piggy. She isn't even obese anymore yet the group of humans continue to attack her verbally sometimes physically. If Meoraq wasn't there it would be worse, but he's holding back for now. He thinks it's all about his God and the pilgrimage. It's intense

While good, this book is stressing me out a tad. 😅 Human men and women, but especially men, being shown at their worst. Their so called commander Scott is a sniveling coward, and I hope he dies a horrible death. Along with Amber's sister Nicci.

We have contact between Meoraq and Amber. Meoraq thinks his God has called him to either kill or help the 48 humans left. Tensions are high, and the humans are using Amber as their punching bag. Looking forward to them dying honesty. They're horrible. Some comical relief with Amber trying to teach Meoraq English. That was entertaining. Good book so far. But there was an info dump in the beginning.

We're introduced more to Meoraq's religion and ways.He settles disputes wherever he's invited, fighting another,and he's rewarded in the end with a virgin.Barely of age.The alien women are treated badly from a young age. Brought up that way.They pray to be impregnated by the warriors.Through this religion Meoraq believes he's destined to take anything he wants.Dipping is sex.The Fire is his sperm.A bit unsettling

So far it's interesting. A lot of info to get through. MMCs haven't met yet. FMC Amber is so far ok. Not much yet about our MMC Meoraq other than a tiny look into his culture. He's a revered warrior.
