The bloodsworn are still sailing to snakavik now sailing along the coast of vigrid when breca is sparring with einar scoring a few hits on him before refna surprise attacks him for hurting einar. Now the camp for the night on a beach and Varg swears his blood oath to the bloodsworn now becoming an official member

The full strength of lik rifas warband is assembled and rides to snakavik with strekur and Leif joining along the way keen to fight the bloodsworn. Hopefully the bloodsworn arrive at snakavik and then follow to the wolf dales before lik rifas warband arrives at snakavik as well

Elvar is on the wave jarl with a fleet of 50 longships following her to the wolf dales. Here she gives skuld a pair of scissors that belonged to orna and confront grend about his lies to which he says sorry. Now she commands for a thrall collar to be put upon grend as she sheds tears at the fifteen years of deceit

Gudvarr and sigrun get information from skalk and estrid who want to ally with lik rifa in order to survive. They inform sigrun and Gudvarr of ulfrir being thralled to Elvar and of jarl storrs death. Sigrun agrees to tell lik rifa of this and just as this is happening swarms of faunir appear from the wood ambushing them with many drengr and ulfrir tainted falling with Gudvarr sigrun estrid skalk barely escaping

As Elvar begins to move to the docks ready to set sail for the ironwood and ulfrirs wolf dales she is still searching for grend who has been missing for five days. Just as she arrives at the docks and is loading hrung onto the wave jarl, runa red axe gifts a hundur thrall to find grend when hjalmar arrives with a bloody and beaten grend in tow. Here he reveals that grend is tainted - how will this change elvars views

The reason vol wears a thrall collar is to use her powers freely under the guise that she is under glornirs command. Orka has now properly reunited with glornir and vol which glornir meeting breca saying he resembles thorkel. Now they sail back to vigrid in debt to jarl orlyg

Sigrun and Gudvarr are now marching through the ironwood with skapti who is leading them to estrid and skalk when they catch a faunir- created by snaka - who has many friends nearby as faunir move in groups. They now take it as hostage and Gudvarr says that he is chasing someone who has tried to kill him while riding someone who has tried to kill him with a hostage who’s friends would also like to kill him

Overall what a sick battle on the water and now the gangs all reunited with Orka breca svik rokia einar Varg glornir vol vesli sulich and his kin Iva Taras the children like refna Gunnar Saeunn halja lif. Now it really feels like they are ready to meet Elvar and fight lik rifa. Although they might miss her if she is already left snakavik for the ironwood where ulfrirs wolf dales are

I love the magic in this how there’s not hard hard rules but there is stuff like you have to chant the magic so there’s some fog magic that will cover casters mouths. I also love the description of the ice versus fire magic with the ice eating away at the flames while the flames melt the ice and incinerate any arrows or spears but a spear can slip through if a rune shield is cracked

More combat as Orka narrowly comes to the rescue of svik who has been stabbed in the hip while vol and Iva are being slowly overwhelmed by the three fire rune casters of rurik
