Around 88 pages (23%) in - not an easy read, and there are passages when I'm not sure what's going on - is the Kid a prisoner? Has he teamed up with someone? Is he with the Mexicans, or the French, or the Americans? It's unsparingly gory and I can kind of tell it's really good, but I'm at risk of drifting from it...
