The part of the book that I read today made me wonder if there will be any other long lasting characters besides Martin, Grimmu, and Una because a new character was introduced but she also left the island of I by the time I finished reading today. This lead me to believe that other characters in the book might come into play but none of them will be as important or influencial to the story as the three mentioned.

This section in the book made me think that although Grimur, the viking who was stranded on the nearly deserted island of I, might think and talk a lot about his journey beyond the island and plan his return to his frieands but that the book itself might concern his time on the island and his connections with the boy and the mead wife who are also left on the island.

So far I have found this book very interesting because the scenes so far have been very violent and this has been my first brush with a book written in this style.
