Wow, a dwarf in the crowd just called the Calormarene a 'darkie', an overt use of racialized language in a series that has often dipped into racism

Eustace voices his concern they may have been in a train accident just as arriving in Narnia

The invasion and take over of Cair Paravel happened off screen, that was certainly a choice

Oh, we got a little more Narnia history, including a mention of King Frank and why everyone thought those islands in Dawn Treader were part of Narnia

I'm actually with the dwarves on this one. They are told they were being sold into slavery by an ape and a fake Aslan so now they don't want any Aslan or any king and want to look after themselves and Eustace acts like they're ungrateful swine for not giving him a trophy for helping them

If there's one thing this book wants to emphasize, it's that Aslan is not a tame lion

Tirian is mad at Jill and calling her disobedient when she came there to help him and doesn't really answer to him even if he is king of Narnia and she did a very useful thing finding the false Aslan so Tirian sounds like a dick
