Good solid mystery with likeable heroine Officer Mattie Cobb and her new partner, K-9 police dog Robo. Mattie just completed 3 months of training and she and Robo are new to each other but learning. He is an excellent partner and finds a body on their first outing. They were looking for suspicious activity reported by park ranger NEVER expected to find a dead teenager and her wounded dog.

Really enjoying this mystery about a female deputy sheriff in a small town who has just been assigned a canine. As soon as they return from a 12-week training class, they are embroiled in a murder.
