Maggie is also invited to Joedurar which is an exquisite event hosted by the Sauvaric family—i think this will be the big showdown that’ll leave us in cliffhanger. Ramond had to leave for Selva by riding a drezmue to prevenr king Sauven from suspicioning him in Kair Toren too

the dynamic between Maggie & Everard is just- everything. the way it develops, the tension as slick as a knife through a butter, gives me LIFE. he practically made claim that Maggie has more influence over him than he does himself. Hreban’s twisted shit continues cz now he’s aware of Maggie’s existence (kinda), he used a forbidden magic, Maggie is now under Demarr family name for credibility

REYNALD IS RAMOND VI EVERARD FUCKKKKKKKKK OMG. this whole entire time Reynald has NEVER existed because he died at Planter 6 from falling off his horse & Maggie has been spilling all this knowledge to the Sleepless Duke this entire time.. “she is mine” in Italic??? BABY I’M ALL FOURS FOR THIS MAIN COURSE MEAL. Maggie acquiring the noble thief from the clan is so smart cuz he knows things so why not use him?!

I KNEW IT. i feel the tensions are starting to shift between Reynald & Maggie that it’s impossible nothing more would happen in the future. but also Maggie being able to find where Kaiden’s parents’ ashes being buried is so 🥹 i’m glad he gets to say his peace & goodbye to his parents and would always have somewhere to go to.

this serial killer will be a problem. had me rooted to my seat longer than i expected but when the time comes for the entire house to be ganging up on him?? oh god i hope he’s eliminated from the picture. we also get a little peek into Kaiden’s past & how he came to be an orphan which is saddening, but at the same time we can conclude the fish is bcs a stelka hid underneath Maggie’s bed(?) 😭 chile-

end of part two! we get to witness Maggie & Reynald forging trust within each other, getting warmed up and eventually come to the conclusion that no matter how many changes are bound to happen in the future from the altercations they prevented from, they’d stand side by side to stop the war. the Magnars came back home too so that was a relief~

this is getting SO MUCH fun. the plan to dismantle Hreban is getting serious as they managed to stole a crate of pink salt that turns out to be smuggled with Gray Iron (used to forge good weapons). i’m so excited to see what kind of mistake Hreban will do that’ll change the course of the book & Kair Toren overall

we’re getting found family here?! i’m psyched! Maggie is resourceful & efficient so the moment she met Reynald, strike a deal for him to become her bodyguard, rescued the child slaves, secured the house & make it her own, now we have Reynald, Maggie, Clover, Kaiden, Gort & his family with a mission to end Hreban is setting up onto the heart of the book that has me so invested rn. Reynald & Maggie’s dynamic tho!

oh Maggie is smart. she remembers every little details in the book that she’s practically mastering her way on living through Kai Toren unscouted AND also striking an information-trade business with Solentine 👀 now idk if that’s our possible MMC in this book but.. i’m quite hooked y’all 😳

first 3 chapters we learn that Maggie has somehow transported into the world of her favorite series, which is the world of Kai Toren. woke up naked & bruised with no money, nothing, she’s forced to navigate on how to live in this world. she practically know everything abt this world EXCEPT something had chaged than what the books provide—talk about info dumping. 😳
