seriously over how ✨perfect✨xaden is when we all know he isn’t and shouldn’t even be. why do all the spicy scenes read the same? why is it always “swirling his tongue” and “pleasure coiling in my stomach” and “the little gasps you make right before you come” and never something new or different or actual EMOTIONAL intimacy??? 😭😭

I want a chapter where he has a convo about something other than 1) Violet 2) Revolution
@Miranda yes! he’s a nothing character and it’s so sad because in the first book, i thought he was great! i was waiting for him to pop up on the page, see what moves he would pull next, try to guess at his intentions and motives. but then in iron flame and now in onyx storm, he’s just… there. like a nuisance. like a weight to violet and the entire story and it makes me so annoyed. also the incessant lust of these two (xaden telling violet his favorite thing to do, like EVER, is FUCKING HER??? 😭) i can’t. please. please have an actual conversation, please give xaden back some kind of personality, aspiration, meaning that doesn’t have anything to do with violet, the revolution or this venin crap
yeah this is exactly what I'm feeling about him, you sum it up perfectly! at this point, it honestly feels like he exists solely for making out with violet and moving the political plot along by virtue of him being a duke. give. the. man. a. HOBBY!
