I’m sure this is all supposed to be very romantic and I should be swooning or whatever but they’ve been dating for 2 days and he’s proposing after lying to her for months, sorry if I’m not into it

Why is Roman such a sleazebag? And why is it not adressed at all, and instead romanticized?

The way this is set up I don’t see how Roman could ever redeem himself and become a serious love interest. I know if I were in Iris’ position and learned his identity, I could never consider him as a romantic partner after such betrayal

I’ve spent a few audible credits on mediocre reads this year so fingers crossed this one will be better
