Who was I before I read “The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State”. I can’t stop trying to apply it to this world. Why would the Amarrans even care for a concept like fatherhood or “legitimate” paternity? Surely they would see women’s reproductive power as a divine gift. Who cares who the father is?

In these situations, I often think about how there's whole society of bonobos that are female-dominated not because the female bonobos are physically stronger or anything but because when a male bonobo starts acting sus, a whole group of female bonobos corner him and beat the shit out of him. I feel that we could learn something from this.
