I get a lot of anxiety from stories where the protagonist builds a ball of lies and just keeps wrapping another rubber band around the ball, as it gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger. I just want them to tell their friends, instead of ending up creating a cascade failure which ends with them in a huge, humiliating mess. It’s also a bit trope-y.
