First impressions
1. The dervish is kind of an asshole. I love it

Not me kicking my feet and giggling when The Dervish wiped something off of Edmunds lip
Also, interesting, werkblight seems a lot like SJS, only quicker acting and with an actual cure. It does seem like the thing that Edmund was desperate to get transcribed by the church was the cure for it, which is Very cool

I am really enjoying just how supportive and understanding Edmund is being of the Dervishs many traumas. I do kinda wish we were in Edmunds head more but I'm only a third of the way through and getting some interesting snippets of things he's done. Like, finding out something that could save lives? And writing a book on talking to gnoles?

We have assembled probably one of the Strangest ensemble casts in any book I've ever read. It's like, on par with a DND party strange. We've got Runaway Scholar with more curiosity than self preservation, Deeply Traumatized Man Sword, Recently Freed Badger Woman, and Giant Pillbug
