Struggling with this book. The ineptitude is frustrating. Reminds me of Bill Bryson’s “A Walk in the Woods,” and I really don’t like Bill Bryson. Parts of it feel like a behind the scenes look at “The Emerald Mile” which makes me think Fedarko was having a hard time finding his next book, so decided to rehash his earlier success.
