I had to switch to the audiobook because this book is very different than I expected. I was hoping for more focus on how everything works together and not a “here’s how I figured out everything works together” it’s just hard to stay interested in what feels like a biography

It’s sad her and her brother were never able to reconcile but he deserved being decked for a comment like that. My brother makes comments like that and I knew if I could land a shot, I would take a swing at him to see if he still thinks women are weak afterwards

This is interesting, I am hear for the ride but I also just want to be reading about all the stuff she discovers all ready because that introduction is absolutely fascinating (this book was recommended reading in a video about how forests are connected ecosystems so I know some already). It’s also making me long for a connection to my ancestors like she has, most of them were dead by the time I was 5
