Magic can do a lot of things but I refuse to believe that it can fundamentally change the nature of a normal shark - or intelligence either

I don’t want to sound rude but did the author look up ANYTHING about some marine animals? Like the fact that sharks do not care for their young and leave them to fend for themselves? Or why the fact any sharks would be trying to help a pup from being beached?

They met that night, she walks off and starts the storm and cries/screams into the sea… He tries to go home, finds a cave, holds down his prize and sleeps the night away… to return to find her doing the exact thing from “the night before” but the timing makes absolutely no sense

The first major continuity error: this states that no one knows about Crescent Cove except for other communities of the same. HOWEVER in a previous book they speak about a festival which is the only time non-magical folks are allowed to enter the town for tourism.
