I have read the first 2 books, wow. I read the old translation decades ago, so I know the gist of the story. Reading now as an older adult in a version that leaves nothing out and translates the dialogue as the author intended is a treat. I am going to read some other things and come back to that last book.

I am about 2/3 through the first volume. I read it many years ago. My paternal aunts Kelly and Rusty who read a lot were fond of it and let me read it. I saw Liv Ullmann's ho hum film of the book when it came out in English subtitles; so the story is familiar. I have been planning to read Tiina Nunnally's translation from the late 90s, it is very refreshing, the 1920s translations butchered the dialog.
