Probably the main reason I’ve always loved Star Wars is because it’s such an expansive universe with so much lore, so much history. I first wrote Star Rose partly because I wanted to create a fictional universe that would give me the same feelings about its past that Star Wars had always given me. So I put bits of lore and history across my Rose universe too, but about loves, not wars.

I'm reading a digital version from Humble Bundle, but this paperback listing has almost the exact same page length as the PDF file.

F. P. This Astro City is the same kind of thing, but its lore is about lives. The lives could be anyone’s and everyone’s as they lived them or are living them now in Astro City.

The art can be dream-like, but also retro or funky. It tends to have a pleasing soft-focus quality that makes me feel good, nostalgic.

I don’t necessarily like all the content in it, but I do like the overall of it. I’m not sure if I’ve read a comic world like this one before, though some comic worlds have had elements of this one.

I’m also not sure I’d even need to finish any of the stories in the Astro City volumes because it seems like it might be nice to just pick up one whenever, as if I’m re-visiting some neat place….

Well, that's all I've got to share for now and maybe for the rest of the weekend, because I really need some rest.

Goodreading, everyone.
