the tales are nice, but ultimately all the misogyny is a bit too much for me. i understand that one should read these things with the times they were written in in mind, but it was quite hard for me to enjoy it when every second sentence stressed how feeble minded the women are, how backstabbing the jews are, how incompetent the muslim rulers were and how stupid the local peasants are. find another focus point please
