The difference between the beginning of this and of The Foxhole Court are absolutely astounding

Oh I just adore Riley so much

I will give my friends this, the beginning of the book is tough. It is a little agonizing to watch Andrew be Andrew without anyone but Del to bounce off of but the second Riley appears shit gets moving

i fear this is going to be my coping book this trauma season which is in some ways better than it being Murderbot again (won't be getting the very direct validation for the mental illness loop i get trapped in which is probably a good thing) but in others worse (i don't know how it's gonna go when i don't have several books to cycle through)

yeah i did not give this ending the time it deserved when i read it the first time. how absolutely fucking devastating. god. the ruminations on what Eddie and Andrew could have been are particularly gutting and it is going to be agonizing to read it for a third time and probably every time after and i'm going to do it anyway. 12 minutes left. what a feeling
