...more throughout the book.
Overall, I've been liking the book and am excited to continue reading!
"'It's like the front of the story is so appealing, you forget to check the back side.' "There are people like that too," she mused." (pg, 7)

... the animals haven't exactly had any main roles in the plot quite yet, they seem to represent what it means to be misunderstood and misinterpreted, which ironically Henry seems to feel so far in the book. With his seemingly unsuccessful therapy sessions and quite social life, there is a connection between the him and the fact that humans and animals don't speak the same language. I hope this idea gets developed...

Update 1: cont.
The animals that I have encountered so far have very bold personalities. Henry and his roommate, Yaryk have two fish: Lazavik & Dzedka. These two beta fish are constantly attacking each other in very archaic language, it's quite interesting. The dogs Henry runs into on page 16, are disgusted by the woman on the streets scent, but she thinks they love her. It's interesting because even though...

Molly on the other hand, the girl he goes on a date with in Central Park, she embodies confidence. I'm a fan of her so far because she seems like she would make a really good older sister. She's sweet, playful, and knows how to lead a conversation. I feel like she'll definitely play a part in Henry's character development later in the book.

In terms of what I've enjoyed so far, I've noticed that the characters have very distinct qualities about them. The main character, Henry specifically has quite a timid personality. Issacs characterizes him as avoidant of conflict and confrontation, and will stay quiet despite having the shorter end of the stick. He also seems to notice a lot of smaller details because of his quiet trait.

Update 1: It's Hard to Be a Henry
So far I've been really enjoying this book! It's been a comforting read so far, but I definitely sense that there is a subtle leading-up-to-something going on.
