Vampires killing a vampire, and easily. Not often seen in vampire media. Lois allows this to be a framed as an act of mercy from God to the peasants, but it’s arbitrary. He left Morgan to die but could not finish him. He killed the vampire but only in self-defense. He still doesn’t know if he’s an angel or a devil and, true to form for the rest of the book, refuses to make an intentional decision.
