Maybe I am being too critical or remembering aspects of the first book incorrectly but what is so dark and dangerous about West? I can’t remember anything sticking out to me so I’m confused about this element of his character. Also, Fable wants to make a name for herself and leave her past behind but is still talking about her father and how “every bastard on this ship will know she is Saint’s daughter.”
