I had to abandon the 1st story--too much name dropping of all kinds of things & too many characters, including alternates, made it too confusing, hard & boring to read. The parts with T'Pol were the best & I never liked her on the show because she was objectified. But the next story on loc. 179 is w/Voyager characters who seem to be the same as the series--it's a what-if that starts in the great Scopion episodes.

I can’t remember if some of the things mentioned in this about Star Trek’s past actually happened in the initial version of the ST universe, so reading the first story in this what-if book has been a bit confusing to me--and sometimes I have to read slower than I'd like. But, the story's well thought out, and I’ve been able to follow most of what’s going on in its present.

This book's long and that intimidates me when I've been feeling so tired lately, but this does have three stories inside it. If I find I don't like one or two, I won't finish them, and if I decide to rate it then, I'll rate it on the one I finished, like usual with me and collections.

I don't know why my comment on this update sitting in my currently reading section isn't showing up here in my feed, but in this update, it should say "Scorpion." I was struggling to fit everything I wanted to say in the update, kept having to redo it, and then screwed up the spelling....
