I'm really starting to like Clement. She's such a great character. So is Gilly for that matter. Really, all of the Sainnites given the chance to really think about their occupation and change their mind about what is right are great characters.

I'm not quite as gripped by this first third as I was by the previous book. I think I just want more of the found family unit before they get scattered. Holding out hope that they come back together as the story progresses

Compelling, though I'm not far enough into it to have a good sense of it yet. Lots of new characters that I look forward to getting to know, as well as all of my favorites from the previous novel.
