Eh.. is it a butch thing to call each other 'bud', 'buddy' and 'dude'? even at 31 years old? I'm not familiar --- but I find it really annoying.

Regardless of identity, I think so. My friends and I are around that age and we still call each other 'dude' or 'bro'. Tho it's becoming a sensitive area now b'cos of pronoun awareness so we don't call people those terms if we don't know them/xem at all.
