Except that I am not as good as Dorothea, boy do I identify with her. Dealing with a massive loss by trying to be useful - that’s a vibe. It’s good that she has her sister and brother in law for kindness, and her uncle too, but no one who understands her feeling of duty, and how much it controls her being. That sort of misunderstanding can make you very lonely.
