The human body was designed so detailed it’s kinda crazy to think about. If you go swimming your heart recognizes that your in water and you’re heart rate beings to drop. All the cooling systems that the body has the extra resivor of air in the spleen. That’s so incredible. If you drink slushies that also cools your core temp down.

I can’t believe people are holding their breath for like 12 min swimming underwater. One breath mind you. Then other people are climbing Mount Everest with no oxygen supplements. I think I just need to be better. That is what this book has taught me.

Pain is good but also know when to push through the pain. It was interesting to read abt the experiments they did with pain and the cycling hour. More pain tolerance more endurance, also depends on how much you want it and how much pain your willing to take. Mental fatigue also hinders your capability

I think it’s iterating that mental fatigue plays a role in how well you perform as well as your state of mind. The other day I was watching a YouTube video of a trainer giving placebo steroids and the guy performed very well almost just as well as having enhancers.

Bruh I can’t imagine having to swim 1200 meters and only have a limited supply of oxygen. Then getting paddled if I come up for air. Also the fact that these people can do these crazy things is wild. Bc why can’t I run 3 miles without stopping at a decent below 10” pace.

I can’t imagine skiing 800+ miles to get to the South Pole. Mind you -31° F. How dose one want to do that let alone actually do that.
