So far it’s good, a little less cynical now that we can actually see some of the good the main character is doing. A lot of the insanity claims I think are supposed to be satire, because the main character just wants to be charitable.

Quickly read chapter 7, starting to look up a little more, I like how Eliot’s wife isn’t actually crazy, and is showing that she actually cares for the people in the rosewater too. I’m starting to see how the dark stuff in this book is actually the satire and comedy. Some of the actual nice message of the book is starting to come through

Read the first 4 chapters! This is very satirical and sarcastic, very different tone from the other books I’ve been reading. Most modern as well with that post WW2 frustration rather than post WW1 frustrations. Not much I can say yet, the premise is ok… nothing is blowing me away yet but it’s quick to read through.
